Load Testing & Compliance
Before any newly installed, modified, or rebuilt hoisting equipment is put into service, CSA B167-96 requires verification of key operational components, including:
- All motion functions
- Limit switches and other safety interlocks
- Control circuits and emergency stops
- Travel and holding brakes under rated load
- Functionality under 125% of the rated capacity
Rees N.D.T Inspection Services has a range of test weights readily available for up to 30 tons, located in Grande Prairie and ready for immediate deployment. We can ship directly to your site for efficient and timely testing.
Inspection & Reporting
Our inspections are thorough and aligned with all applicable OH&S, WorkSafe BC, and CSA standards. Depending on your equipment type, our process covers up to 245 inspection points.
- Safety issues are flagged and discussed on-site with your team
- Clear, easy-to-read reports summarize both safety and compliance deficiencies
- Minor issues are addressed during the inspection to prevent future problems
- You’ll receive a complete safety, maintenance, and documentation summary
- A detailed quote is emailed following the inspection, and a Rees N.D.T representative will follow up to arrange any necessary repairs at a time that works for you
