Before you can begin work in the field or shop, you must have valid and up-to-date:

• Documentation of completed WHMIS training;
• H2S Alive certificate;
• First Aid certificate valid in BC;
• Enform eGSO certificate or PST with the eGSO endorsement;
• Class 5 driver’s license; and
• Clean and current driver’s abstract.

The following are beneficial valid and up-to-date certifications to possess:

• Enform Bear Aware or Wildlife Awareness;
• Enform PST, PST 2.0, or CSTS;
  Confined Space training;
• Fall Arrest training;
• Manlift operator’s tickets;
• GODI, TDG and defensive driving tickets;
• Picker operator tickets; and
• Class 1-4 driver’s licenses.

Possession of the following tickets with experience is highly desirable:

• CGSB Level III tickets;
• CGSB UT Level II ticket and field experience;
• CGSB MT Level II ticket and field experience;
• CGSB PT Level II ticket and field experience;
• CWB Welding inspector Level II ticket and field experience;
• CWB Welding inspector Level I ticket and field experience;
• API 510 tank inspector ticket and field experience;
• ABSA tank inspector certification and field experience;
• ASNT Level III certification and field experience;
• ASNT Level II certification and field experience; and
• Completed CGSB-approved NDT training.
